PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not expose to open flame or excessive heat

  • May smolder if ignited – extinguish completely

  • Do not apply flame directly when installing modified bitumen systems

  • Must be kept dry at all times (in storage and during installation)

  • Only install as much as can be covered by the completed roofing system the same day

  • Not intended for use under shingles

  • In re-roofing:

    • Remove all wet areas of the existing roof

    • Remove all loose and protruding gravel

  • Avoid use near:

    • Chimneys

    • Heater units

    • Fireplaces

    • Steam pipes

    • Other heat sources exceeding 212°F without proper protection

  • Always follow heating appliance manufacturer’s guidelines

  • Fastening patterns should follow the roofing membrane manufacturer’s specifications
